Even though Sony is one of the largest consumer electronics companies in the world, it comes as quite a shock to see that they have only just announced their first ever external hard drive. The unit looks sleek, and whilst not as hot as the LaCie we looked at a few weeks ago, it will look good in your bag or on your desk. Storage wise it comes in a single (simple) 500GB version, and brings with it the ability to record TV shows straight to the device from compatible BRAVIA TV units.
