How #followfriday works

We can make a fair assumption looking at the stats for the site that people that visit RandomlyAccessed are clued up to Twitter and the workings of social media in general, however, for those that do not, here's how the weekly round of #followfriday works.

Essentially, at any point on a Friday, you list a number of users who have made a good impression on you during the week with their tweets.

If you think that others would benefit from following them, you write a tweet on a Friday starting with the hashtag #followfriday or #ff (starting with it so that Twitter doesn't see it as a reply to the first user) and list their usernames (including the @) and post it the network.

Your followers then see the list of people you're recommending, and then hopefully follow the ones who are most relevant to them!

And so the cycle of Twitter following should continue as long as people post interesting, engaging tweets. Simple.

If you've got any questions, just drop us a comment, and we'll do our best to answer them!

Oh, and follow me.
