Seesmic Android tops 10k downloads

Seesmic for Android phones was only launched last week, yet it has now topped over 10,000 downloads in that short space of time, which whilst not a massive amount compared to iPhone apps, is a lot for an Android variant.

Google's open-source mobile operating system is currently gaining a lot of traction with users, and it seems that this is the first step by Seesmic to be the main player on an upcoming wave.
Whilst the other developers are focusing on the saturated iPhone market, Seesmic spotted where there was a need for a major client (other than Twidroid).

The Twitter client is currently available for the great price of Free in the Android Market if you're rocking one of those handsets.
