Seesmic for iPhone launches

Seesmic is one of the largest figures in the Twitter application space, and has recently been diversifying to keep away from the microblogging company's increasing involvement in the space, by ensuring it caters for all of the social networking space.

Well, they just released their first iPhone app which allows you to hook into all of the networks like you'd expect in the desktop variant. With options like Twitter, Facebook and Ping.fm (which allows content-pushing to over 50 other networks), the company is really pushing the cross-compatibility of the product.

They've also made it really easy to switch between accounts which is handy for those who like to segment their experience (like us) and cater to different sets of people.

This comes hot on the heels of Twitter releasing their official application (which is essentially Tweetie 3.0), but it seems that Seesmic holds a few more features if you're already well planted in the ecosystem.

It's in the App Store now.
