Spotify releases a couple of new subscriber plans

Spotify has just announced that they're going to be offering two new plans which slot in between their current offerings; Free and the £9.99 Premium.

The two new plans are Open and Unlimited, with the former giving you access to the music streaming service (supported by ads) for 20 hours per month (they say it's equivalent to 25 albums or 300 tracks every month) without the need for an invitation which is the case with the non-time-restricted Free version.

Spotify Unlimited gives you a similar experience to the Premium version, but only for the Desktop client (wont give you access to the superb iPhone, Android, Symbian and other clients), and wont give you offline playback on your PC - but it does cut the cost in half to only £4.99pcm.

This comes hot on the heels of the company releasing their new, socially-infused, client a few weeks back.
