We loved the ROCCAT Sense mousepad when it came out a number of months ago (to the point where you might say that I'm something of a ROCCAT fanboy now), but as with everything in the digital world, it has been added to an improved, and now you have even more mousepad choice if you fancy a ROCCAT pad because of this; the Taito.
We love the sedate look of it, and think that it could even kick the Sense off of top-place in the pad stakes. Here's what they say:
With the Taito, ROCCAT™ presents a shiny black gaming mousepad. Generously
sized and equipped with a heat-treated nano pattern the textile surface of
the Taito is optimised for gamers.
The heat-treated nano pattern ensures precise control and absolute targeting
accuracy. The complex fibre structure guarantees ease of movement with no
loss of speed or acceleration for x- as well as y-axis. Due to its
ruggedized material the Taito Mousepad assures high durability.
The compatibility of the Taito Mousepad has been examined and approved in
extensive tests with popular gaming mice. The mousepad works perfectly for
optical gaming mice as well as for those with integrated laser sensors.
Using the prototype of a new and still unreleased laser sensor the quality
of the Taito Mousepad was put to the test. The results provided evidence
that the mousepad will also yield optimal results with future gaming mice.
At 400mmin width and 320 mm in depth, the Taito Mousepad offers an enormous
area for large, precise mouse movements. Without any edging to get in the
way, the gamer can use all of the surface area.
Particularly important for gamers with a highly developed sense of hearing:
On ROCCAT Taito, mice glide almost soundlessly over the nano pattern
surface.
Consisting of foam material, this ROCCAT mousepad can be simply rolled up
and carried away. The 3.45mm thick foam material also offers a pleasantly
padded wrist rest. The entire underside consists of non-slip rubber and
provides perfect grip even on smooth surfaces.
The ROCCAT Taito Mousepad will be available on the European market as from
the mid of September 2008. The recommended selling price is 14.99 euros.
